8.1 Starting engines

The ignition is controlled by a button located either on the steering console or on the base of the throttle handle, depending on the boat model or accessories.
  1. Switch on the power using the main power switches.
  2. Lower the engines into the driving position by pressing the power trim button on the gear/throttle handle.
  3. Check that the gears are in a neutral position and that the emergency switch is attached to the emergency cut-off switch.
  4. Switch on the ignition using the power button on the steering console/throttle handle base and wait a few seconds for the warning lights to light up.
  5. Start the engines by pressing the start button until the engines starts. The engines should start within 1-2 seconds. Do not try to start the engines for more than 10 seconds at a time.
    If your boat is equipped with external power/start switch panel, both engines must to be started individually. Start button on the throttle handle base starts both engines at the same time.
  6. Let the engines idle for a few minutes before setting off.
