3.4.2 Installing fire extinguishers

The boat has two dedicated places for the fire extinguishers.

  • One in the cabin, under the deck stairs by the toilet

  • One in the deck area, in the driver side seat box

These places are marked with fire extinguisher symbols. For the location of the symbols see section Safety labels.

All measurements are in millimeters.

To install the fire extinguishers, you need a suitable fire extinguisher bracket and wood screws.

The bottom of the stairs has a 10 mm plywood reinforcement where the extinguisher is installed.

To install the cabin extinguisher:

  • Drill pilot holes to the plywood for the bracket screws.

  • Attach the bracket to the bottom of the stairs using wood screws.

  • Attach the extinguisher to the bracket and make sure it stays firmly in place and easily accessible.

To install the driver seat box extinguisher:

  • Drill pilot holes for the bracket screws to avoid cracking the glass fiber surface.

  • Attach the bracket to the plywood using wood screws.

  • Attach the extinguisher to the bracket and make sure it stays firmly in place and easily accessible.
