12.4 Air conditioning

The air conditioner is an optional feature, and its operation is described in a separate manufacturer’s manual. Air conditioning excludes the heater from the possible optional features for the boat. The control panel for air conditioning is located in the cabin.

The air conditioning unit uses sea water for cooling. The fuse for the water pump is placed on the pump power line.

When winterizing your boat, perform the following preparations for the air conditioning system.

  1. After lifting the boat out of the water, flush the system’s sea water circuit with fresh water to remove any salt residues.

Flush the water circuit once more before launching the boat after winter storage.

  2. When the boat is back in the water, start the air conditioning unit.

Inspect the sea water circuit for any leaks and check that all hose clamps are secure.

  3. Inspect the condensate drain connections and ensure that they are secure.

  4. Check all mechanical and electrical components for signs of oxidation or corrosion.

Treat any oxidized or corroded areas with appropriate care products.
