3.4.2 Installing fire extinguishers
The boat has two dedicated places for the fire extinguishers:
In the cabin beneath the wardrobe.
Inside the seat box on the right side of the deck.
These places are marked with fire extinguisher symbols. For the locations of the symbols see section Safety labels .
All measurements are in millimeters.
To install the fire extinguishers, you need a suitable fire extinguisher bracket and wood screws.
To install the cabin fire extinguisher:
Locate the wardrobe on the left side of the cabin.
Attach the bracket to the outside bottom of the wardrobe using the screws.
Attach the extinguisher to the bracket and make sure it stays firmly in place and is easily accessible.
The deck seat box has a 12 mm plywood reinforcement against which the extinguisher is installed. The plywood is laminated on the external wall of the box, and not visible by looking inside the box. For the exact location of the plywood, see the picture below.
To install the seat box fire extinguisher:
Locate the 12 mm plywood enforcement.
Drill pilot holes to the interior glass fiber surface to avoid cracking it.
Attach the bracket to the plywood using the screws.
Attach the extinguisher to the bracket and make sure it stays firmly in place and is easily accessible.
