9.3 Battery system

Your boat has three dedicated battery compartments. One for service batteries, one for engine batteries and one for bow thruster and bow anchor winch battery.

Each battery has a main switch controlling the connection to the boat's electrical system.

It is recommended to keep all batteries on when the engines are started and the boat is in motion. All batteries are charged when the engine running.

Engine batteries
The batteries are located in the pilot house, under starboard side seat box. The primary batteries are the engine batteries. In addition to the engines, the engine batteries provide power for Yamarin Q displays and bilge pumps. The batteries can also be charged with shore power.
The engine batteries must be of the start battery type, capable of supplying the high peak currents required during engine starting.
Service batteries

The batteries are located in the pilot house, under port side seat box. The service batteries are intended for use when the engines are switched off and there is no charging current available. Depending on the equipment level, your boat can be equipped with either two lead acid or AGM long cycle batteries, or with one to three lithium batteries. The batteries can also be charged with shore power.

Additional battery for bow thruster and bow anchor winch

The batteries are located in the cabin bow compartment. The battery needs to be suitable for high peak currents. The battery is charged with a DC/DC charger that takes power from the service batteries.
