13.2 Air conditioning

The air conditioning is an optional feature, and its operation is described in a separate manufacturer’s manual. Air conditioning excludes the heater from the possible optional features for the boat. The control panel for air conditioning is located in the pilot house. Cool air is distributed throughout the boat through dedicated vents in the pilot house, cabin, mid cabin and on to the windscreen.

The air conditioning is powered through the shore power or through the inverter if the boat is equipped with optional lithium battery package. The inverter is equipped with automated circuit switcher that switches between the shore power and batteries when needed.

Without the lithium battery package, the air conditioning is only operational with shore power connected.

The air conditioning unit uses sea water for cooling.

When winterizing your boat, perform the following preparations for the air conditioning system.

1. After lifting the boat out of the water, flush the system’s sea water circuit with fresh water to remove any salt residues.

   Flush the water circuit once more before launching the boat after winter storage.

2. When the boat is back in the water, start the air conditioning unit.

   Inspect the sea water circuit for any leaks and check that all hose clamps are secure.

3. Inspect the condensate drain connections and ensure that they are secure.

4. Check all mechanical and electrical components for signs of oxidation or corrosion.

   Treat any oxidized or corroded areas with appropriate care products.
